Hyderabad, November 5, 2026: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said Telangana offers immense opportunities for deep-tech innovations and is committed to driving industrial growth through investment-friendly policies, world-class infrastructure and strong collaboration between research institutions, industry and government departments.
Addressing the FICCI@100 celebrations and the Telangana Deep-Tech Leadership Summit held at ITC Kakatiya Hotel, Begumpet, Hyderabad, on Wednesday, as the chief guest, he called upon the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) to strengthen its collaboration with the state government to achieve the ambitious target of transforming Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047.
IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu was also present at the event. The Deputy Chief Minister was welcomed by FICCI Chairman VVR Raju, FTCCI President K.K. Maheshwari and former FICCI President and Apollo Hospitals Joint Managing Director Dr. Sangita Reddy, among other dignitaries.
Highlighting Hyderabad’s strengths in software, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, aerospace and engineering, Vikramarka said the state has a strong foundation for deep-tech development. He emphasised the need to integrate these sectors to create new technologies, products and business opportunities.
He invited industry leaders, businesses and investors to participate in the upcoming Global Investor Summit scheduled for December at Future City. He said the government is focusing on research, industrial development and public-private partnerships to create a favourable ecosystem for investment and innovation.
The Deputy Chief Minister stressed the importance of developing a practical Deep-Tech blueprint to bridge the gap between laboratory research and commercial products. He called for shared testing facilities, simplified certification processes and well-designed pilot projects to help innovations reach the market.
He also highlighted opportunities in renewable energy, electricity storage and smart power networks, stating that Telangana’s innovators could develop technologies with applications across India and international markets.
Emphasising employment opportunities, Vikramarka said young people must be equipped with the skills required for emerging industries. He called upon industry to support the development of skilled technicians, laboratory professionals and workers capable of installing, maintaining and repairing advanced technologies.
He further said that innovation and economic growth must translate into better family incomes, improved public services and greater employment opportunities for young people.
Referring to FICCI’s centenary celebrations, he recalled that the organisation was founded in 1927, during India’s freedom struggle, and said that developing technological capabilities would be central to India’s future prosperity and self-reliance.
